Pebbles & Lawn Fawn Quick & Easy Valentine's Day cards

Hello there!  I'm back with one last Valentine's Day post sharing some quick and easy card ideas that are currently being featured in the Spring issue of CardMaker Magazine.  All of these ideas were created with a limited amount of supplies (listed below) just to show you don't need a lot on hand to create something fun.

Lawn Fawn & Pebbles Quick & Easy Valentine's Day cards by Mendi Yoshikawa

Up first is a card I created by cutting a number of small hearts from patterned paper to create a backdrop using a versatile nesting die set.  I then heat embossed the darling elephant stamps and sentiments onto red cardstock to make them pop and to save time (vs. stamping them onto white where I would feel the need to color them in with markers or colored pencils).

My second card utilized that same nesting heart die set, this time using the larger heart as a mat for the darling hedgehogs.

My last card showcases a number of fun prints from the collection with a series of hand-cut pennants.  I finished off each card with some faux stitching created with my favorite gel pen by Uniball.  I think it helps the mats for each card pop off the page and not get lost with all the other prints.

Each of these cards were created in under 30 minutes (I'm slow so you may be able to do it even quicker) using these 9 basic supplies:

1. Pebbles We Go Together 6x6 paper Pad
2. Bazzill Smoothie Red Cardstock
3. Lawn Fawn Whale You Be Mine 2x3 stamp set
4. Lawn Fawn Love You Tons 2x3 stamp set
5. Lawn Fawn Hedgehugs 2x3 stamp set
6. Little B Heart Dies
7. VersaMark clear ink pad
8. Ranger Super Fine white embossing powder
9. Signo Uniball White Gel Pen

I hope I've inspired you in your last minute cardmaking.  ;)  I'll be back tomorrow with a layout using Doodlebug's new Pot O' Gold collection in an everyday application.  Until then...
