Pebbles Inc. Fun In The Sun Summer Beach Layout

This is a personal blog. All editorial content and projects are intellectual property of Snippets of Mendi. I receive financial compensation and material product from American Crafts to develop my craft posts, but all ideas and opinions are my own.

I have a quick and simple summer themed layout to share today using more of my favorite Pebbles Fun In The Sun collection!

I created my visual triangle groupings using the adorable die-cuts and layered stickers from the line.  I like to reduce the white outlines when possible around my cuts so I chose to fussy cut them  a bit with my scissors.

My title was made easy by one of the great titles provided in the Chips pack.  I paired it with some flip-flops from the layered sticker pack which I dressed up with some punched flowers and enamel dots.

For the third corner of my visual triangle I turned to We R Memory Keepers Banner Punch Board.  Not only does this fun tool create large banners, but it can make them as small as one inch wide for your cards and scrapbook pages!  Isn't that cool?  For mine I thought it would be fun to add a pair of die-cut sunglasses "hanging" from the line.  To add some more dimension to coated the lenses with Glossy Accents.  I love the detail this gives them in person.  Make sure to head over to the Pebbles Blog where I share how I created the mini banner using We R Memory Keepers newest banner punch board.  :)

I also have a simple little card I created with a few of my left over scraps where I stitched over the lines of the patterned paper in coordinating colors of thread.  :)

On a sad note this is my last official post for the Pebbles team (although I do hope to be back as a guest designer in the future).  In light of my recent announcement I decided something had to give in my schedule so I chose to step down at the end of our term.  They are seriously such a great company to work with and I will miss them like crazy!!!

Pebbles Inc. Fun In The Sun Summer Gift Bags

This is a personal blog. All editorial content and projects are intellectual property of Snippets of Mendi. I receive financial compensation and material product from American Crafts to develop my craft posts, but all ideas and opinions are my own.

Today I have some fun ideas for summer gift bags using Pebbles Fun In the Sun collection along with the new Fuse tool and Gift Bag Punch Board by We R Memory Keepers.  I don't know about you, but I rarely think to prepare a fun gift bag on the actual day of an event so I love having some ready to go when I'm headed out the door to a special occasion.

I thought it would be fun to experiment with different shaped shaker windows using various nesting dies.  For my first bag I wanted to mimic the look of the citrus slices found in the patterned paper.  To achieve this I added all my sequins to the circle shape before closing it up.  I then carefully slid the sequins over a little bit each time to fuse the straight lines.

My next bag features a star window filled with multi-colored sequins.  I cut an extra band of patterned paper to go along the top of my bag which I punched with a scalloped edge using a border punch.

My last gift bag is my favorite.  It uses some of the fun watermelon patterned papers from the collection so I thought it would be really fun to create a heart window and punch out little hearts and raindrops to pose as watermelon seeds for my shaker.

Make sure to head over the the Pebbles Blog where I share step-by-step instructions on how I created these fun shaped window shakers with the fuse tool and some basic supplies I already had on hand.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  :)

Lori Whitlock Blog Hop: Echo Park Jack & Jill Girl Layout

Hello and welcome to Lori Whitlock's August blog hop!  You should be arriving here from Corri's blog or if you're just joining us you can start from the beginning at Lori's blog.  :)

In honor of today's hop I created a special layout that combines Lori's cutting files along with the Jack & Jill collection she designed for Echo Park and the We R Memory Keeper fuse tool.  :)

I wanted to create a layout about my sweet grandma that passed away a few months ago.  I inherited an overwhelming large volume of photos and I was looking for a way to document a lot of them on a single layout.  I am pleased to say I was able to squeeze 26 photos on this single page!

Please forgive the glare or slight blur of my page.  To fully appreciate this layout I had to take a picture of the layout with the page protector on because all the fun flip book goodies on the outside of the page.

I used the We R Memory Keeper's 4x4 pockets along with their Fuse tool to create a little waterfall mini album of sorts down the left side of my page protector.  I decorated each pocket with a different one of Lori's border cutting files and a 1-inch strip of paper from the collection.  I actually chose to seal these along the top so they wouldn't constantly fall out, but before I did, it was important to make sure everything was facing the right way (and that any floating cat fur had been cleared away).  ;)

To make the fusing possible I had to really put on my thinking cap because the glass mat was too big to fit inside my page protector and the tool will melt a self-healing mat.  Then I remembered a small silicone stamping surface I had by Inkadinkado.  It worked perfectly not only because it didn't melt and it fit nicely inside the protector, but also because of the grid printed on it that helped me get my lines straight.

I cut several of Lori's tabs in coordinating colors to help with the flipping and add little sticker phrases to.

I wanted to take my favorite photo of her and have it stand alone on the page as sort of a focal point.  It was feeling a bit bare though so I cut a rose from Lori's
Layered Flowers Set.  It was just the finishing touch I was looking for!

While this layout is intended to be viewed with the page protector on, I thought I would give you a peek at what it looks like under there.  I added the last minute additions of the strips of patterned paper under the flip book to help it feel a little bit more finished while flipping through it, but I think this step could have easily been skipped.
