A Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg Thanksgiving Card

Hi there!

I am still up to my eyeballs working on a fun project I can't quite share yet so today I thought I would dig out a Fall card I made a couple years back using Cosmo Cricket's Nutmeg collection and some stamps by Unity...

My husband is returning from a long string of business trips which has kept him away from home for all but about a 1-1/2 weeks since the late September.  I was doing pretty good, but this last week has been hard as I realized how little adult conversation I am getting and how much I'm craving it.  And then there has been the dreary Northwest rain which hasn't helped (rain and dark skies can be seriously depressing).  But he'll be here on Saturday so I can see light at the end of the tunnel--I am so excited to have him back home!  He might actually get to stick around for two whole weeks before sneaking in another trip before Thanksgiving.  ;)

I hope you have a great day!  Thanks for stopping by!  :)

Cosmo Cricket's Garden Variety Farm Themed Cards

Happy Friday!!!

Today I have a couple more cards to share that I made almost a year ago for yet another Craft Warehouse Stamp Club challenge.  ;)  The first one was for the official challenge which had us using the clear acrylic element (by Tim Holtz I think), a teal note card, jute twine and a "farm" theme. Let me just say that this was one of the hardest challenges they've ever given us.  The clear tile and the teal color just didn't seem to go with the jute and farm theme...

With that said, I knew I wanted to use Cosmo Cricket's Garden Variety Collection and the matching stamps by Unity that I had never been cut into or seen ink before.  I can't tell you how much of this paper I bought (and bought).  I couldn't get enough of the happy colors and cute little faces on the vegetables.  Too bad I don't garden because I have no idea how I'm ever going to actually make a dent in what I bought.  :)

I was having so much fun with the stamps and paper that I decided to go ahead and make another card.  Unfortunately my hubby has zero appreciation for cards so I have no clue who I thought I was making this for.  LOL!  :)

A couple more Spring Cards

OK, so I completely dropped the ball on having a new post for each day of the week last week so today I have two cards to share. :)

I made this card for last month's Card Club using Unity stamps to match Cosmo Cricket's Pixie-Licious Mini Deck. We were challenged to use the green ribbon and little "beads" on our card in some way...

This second card started out as a Craft Warehouse make-n-take at Card club this month, but it was a bit too simple for my taste, so I dressed it up to put my own mark on it. I added the pink stripes (using Impression Obsession background stamp), cut out a scalloped frame (using Spellbinder dies) which I stiched on, added the fun little white enamel dots to the berry (by Ranger) and added the bow, button and baker's twine for some extra flair... Between the two of us I think it turned out pretty cute--Marilyn had the most clever idea to use flower petals cut apart from a daisy punch to use for the green part of the strawberry! (Other supplies: patterned paper by Doodlebug and Itty Bitty Stamp by Unity).
