Today I'm popping in with a set of cards I created with the yummy Flashy Florals May card kit by MFT. I love how addicting this flower stamp set is with the matching dies and how easy it is to mass produce them with endless combinations.
To create my cards I started by heat embossing 5-1/2 x 4-1/2 panels cut from black cardstock with clear embossing powder using the background stamp that comes with the kit. I love the subtle glittery look it gives the background!
I then cut all my ovals from 80 lb. Neenah solar white cardstock and then stamped my Big Scripty Greeting slightly offset in VersaFine Onyx Black ink. I lightly tacked them on the card bases and then stitched around the perimeter of each oval on my sewing machine.
Lastly, I set to work repeatedly stamping and die-cutting my flowers and leaves. I honestly couldn't figure out a perfect combination for each card so I ended up creating slightly different variations for each card from the big pile of die-cuts I had created.
This was a great project to do in steps here and there as I had time. I actually did my final assembly and adhered all my flowers while on the go.
If you missed this awesome kit the day it was released, never fear. The stamps and dies should be available individually on the MFT website in the next couple of months. ;)
