Hello there! Today it's my turn on the Doodlebug blog and I'm sharing four baseball themed cards using Doodlebug's new Home Run collection. I thought it would be fun to stock up on some masculine birthday cards with these fun papers!
Up first I have a circle shaped card. To make the patterned papers easier to cut out with minimal waste I created a special Silhouette cutting file which I am sharing with all of you today. You can download it HERE.
For my next card I used the teensy type stickers to spell out my sentiment. To help me get the letters on straight, I used a slightly larger circle die-cut to help me line everything up. I simply adhered the edge of the stickers to the edge of my metal die and when I had them just how I wanted them. I laid them down, adhering the tops to my background paper and carefully slid out the die.
For my third card I added my sentiment with the love letters cardstock stickers. I wanted to add a border punch along the top edge, but most of my punches were a bit on the girly side. I was happy to stumble across my grass punch which felt like the perfect choice for a ball field.
For my last card I used the two fun washi tapes in the collection and paired them with some of the newest thin washi tapes and as well as a couple from past Patriotic collections. I finished it off with a sentiment printed on my computer and the baseball doodle pop. :)
I hope I've inspired you to create some fun cards for the boys in your life. Once again, many of these card designs would work with any of the four new sports themed collections.
