Hello there! I thought I would pop in today to share a layout which I created for the Pebbles blog a couple weeks back using some more of Jen Hadfield's Home+Made collection. :)
I was challenged to create a layout with the theme "the colors of fall" and this was my take on that. As many of you know I love the patchwork look so I created a stitched blanket of sorts behind my photo. Big blankets just scream crisp fall weather to me. ;) I also used the bracket die (which was intended for making banners) as a shelf to help ground my photo. I am completely loving the die set that comes with this collection--It is super versatile! :)
For my journaling I used one of the tag stickers from the collection with a vellum over the top which I ran through my printer.
I fussy cut three of the flowers to create my focal point. I then took the super cool new burlap sheet and diecut my leaves from it (using an older Tim Holtz die by Sizzix). The burlap has these adorable polka-dot printed on them, but my leaf was small enough that the dots were getting lost on them so I simply flipped them over and added some hand-stitching for a little interest.
I finished off my layout with some over-sized gold foil alphas from the collection and a stamped sentiment which I heat embossed with gold embossing powder.
For my flower centers I shared a super simple tutorial over on Pebbles blog using just a few basic supplies that you may already have on hand. Make sure to hop over there and take a peek.
Thanks so much for stopping by. :)
