For my number border, I cut out an extra size 6 in a contrasting navy to emphasize the fact that she was entering 6th grade. If that wasn't enough, I added a little arrow to complete my visual triangle. For my title, I used a chalkboard style die cut, but omitted the chalkboard and enlarged the coordinating apple.
I can't tell you how happy I was to finally get a picture of my daughter boarding a school bus for the first time! We have always lived within walking distance of her schools, but with a recent move we finally lived far enough away to ride the bus and as a scrapbooker dying to play with adorable "bus" themed embellishments for all these years, I was overjoyed. :)
To create today's layout I used the following cutting files available for purchase in Lori's shop:
I hope I've inspired you to look at boy themed collections with fresh eyes for both genders. :)
She is so beautiful and getting so big Mendi! But I can honestly say, I know what you mean regarding her riding the bus for the first time AND catching a photo! I have tried so many times to get a picture of my daughter boarding the bus but never succeeded and now she's homeschooled soooo............. bummer! I love how you used the paper to create this fun back to school theme layout. Wow 6th grade already? Pretty soon she'll be going to prom! Just sayin! Have a wonderful day my friend!
