I'm back today to round out the week with some more old favorites. These three layouts that I'm sharing today were all made using Becky Fleck's various page maps (gotta love the girl). :)
It's hard to tell from this small photo that I found, but I used a variety of textured materials to create my stars including some red handmade paper, some denim fabric paper and then some striped craft paper (by Making Memories I think). I used the same Sizzix star diecut for everything, but for the navy stars I used the negative part of the diecut and then just hand cut a small border around it.
I made this one in early 2009 after returning from a memorable trip to NYC with my girlfriend. I loved how vibrant these twilight city shots turned out so I took my colors directly from the photos using Doodlebug cardstock and patterned paper. The large black and white chipboard flower was one by KI Memories.
This is a layout documenting the morning of my daughter's 3rd birthday using a photo that I took before all the guests started to arrive. It turns out that I forgot to take any photos at the actual party so I was happy to have these shots of her wearing her birthday girl shirt. Papers are by My Mind's Eye's Penny Lane collection.
Hope you all have wonderful weekend! I will be back next week featuring some of my favorite 2-page layouts that I have created over the years. :)
I especially love that red, white and blue layout. I really enjoy viewing your blog and layouts.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Your sweet comments mean a lot to me! :)
DeleteMore sweet layouts....love to see these older layouts and how your style has changed, yet still stayed somewhat the same too. I still have some of that Penny Lane paper and die cuts that I need to use...may have to lift that last layout!:)
