Bella Blvd. Tiny Tots Cards ~ Day 2

Hello there! I'm back with three more cards using Bella Blvd's adorable Tiny Tots collection!

Card No. 1: Froggy themed birthday card
I have a soft spot for frogs and I love how this color of blue and green look together (in fact I wouldn't mind decorating a room of my house in these fresh colors). This card was created when I was reaching the end of my stash and I love how it came together with just a little bit of this and that.

Card No. 2: Bee Happy Bumblebee card
My second card was inspired by the little bee diecut journaling card. I was able to create my sentiment by cutting out the word happy from a strip found on the borders patterned paper (paired with stamp by Simon Says Stamp). I finished it by adding some Bella Blvd. star buttons to my faux tabs. Pretty sweet and simple.

Card No. 3: Love You Cascading Heart Card
This card was inspired again by the red polka-dot card found in the die cut paper pieces set. I left the red punch-out heart in place and covered it with the alpha stickers to spell out "Love You". To create my card front, I die-cut various sized hearts from a 4.25 x 5.5 inch piece of white cardstock. I then filled the negative spaces with all the different red prints from the collection. For my smallest hearts I was able to borrow some of the red polka-dot print from the journaling card which I trimmed from the top of the card. I love when I can stretch my supplies like that!

I don't know about you, but I really love how versatile this collection is! I think it's pretty cool that I was able to create so many different looks with just one set of papers! Check back on next week when I will be sharing the four layouts I created with these happy papers. :)

Bella Blvd. Tiny Tots Cards ~ Day 1

Hello there! How are you guys doing today? I have been playing up a storm with my Tiny Tots collection by Bella Blvd. this month and I thought I would start by sharing a few of my cards with you today.

Card No. 1: Use the darling elephant card from their daily details sheet and some of my favorite bright prints from the collection. For a finishing touch I added little cross-stitched red X's with some embroidery floss.

Card No. 2: This is actually the last of 6 cards I created and it was perfect for using up little leftover bits of scraps I had on hand from my other projects. I wanted to make this a birthday card, but I didn't have enough space or letters for the word "birthday" or "celebrate" so party is was! ;)

Card No. 3: My last card uses another card from the daily details sheet for my sentiment. I took inspiration from the little flower and created a grid design for my background by fussy cutting flowers from a sheet of patterned paper in the collection. I tried many different colors for my background and they all sort of felt flat until I tried the black--I love how it makes the colors pop! :)

Well, I have much more to come with a handful of layouts and more cards to share in the coming days. I challenged myself to stick with one collection and use up as much of it as I could and I gotta say it was a thrilling feeling to use up a small corner of my stash and get so much accomplished in the process!

Doodlebug Easter Parade Bunny Ears Layout & Chick Card

Hi there! I'm popping in today with a couple projects using Doodlebug's newest Easter Parade collection!

The prints in this line are so sweet and I just love how the bright, happy colors pop against the kraft paper. I chose to mix in a few of the tone-on-tone prints from the coordinating Hello Sunshine collection and I love how they were made to match each other!

To form my title block, I cut down one of the 4x4 squares from the bunny & friends paper and added a pennant shape to the bottom. I'm giddy when the icon stickers are the same size as the images in the paper--This was the case with the darling little bird sticker which I was able to pop up with foam tape over the same image on the paper.

To create my daddy and daughter bunny pair, I used a cutout from the Bunny & Friends craft kit and paired it with a smaller bunny from the Easter Parade Icon Stickers. I finished off my little scene with a kite from last year's Mini Kite Craft Kit.

My top right hand corner was feeling a little bit empty to me so I decided to die-cut a small photo corner from some of the patterned paper and top it with one of the darling flower sprinkles.

I also felt like my layout could use a border of some kind so using my paper piercer and a ruler, I stitched a small running stitch around the perimeter of my page.

When I was done I still had a handful of unused (or half circles) circles so rather than throw them away I put them to good use on a quick little Easter card.

For my sentiment, I borrowed a Quotes cardstock sticker from the Take Note Collection, pairing it with the darling chick from that same Craft Kit. To give my card a fun detail, I decided to create a mini bow from my little guy using some thread wrapped around the center of some folded ribbon.
