Pebbles Happy Day Encouragement Cards & Phrase Stickers

Today I have some Pebbles Happy Day cards to share which would be perfect to brighten a friend or family member's day!

These cards were all created with a focus on the sweet sentiments found on Happy Day Phrases & Labels Cardstock Stickers sheet. Up first I have a card using the darling "Hello" banner stickers on the diagonal, paired with the sweet birdie and bicycle images from the companion icon sticker sheet. I love that I was able to make this card quickly and yet it turned out to be my daughter's favorite.

My next card uses the short pennant sticker with the word "smile". I love how the shape of this sticker lends itself well to being lengthened into a longer pennant with the help of a little patterned paper, making it the perfect base for the focal point image of my card! This card also came together in under 20 minutes with the fun flower bouquet sticker and some epoxy dots.

As soon as I saw the "Insta-Awesome" sticker I knew it would make a great card sentiment for a teen. To complete the phrase I added the "UR" stickers using the woodgrain thickers from the collection. A grid design with the Instagram inspired cameras and matching tone-on-tone patterned papers were the perfect embellishments to complete my card.

Up last I thought it would be fun to create a one-of-a-kind paper-pieced wavy background using the "Be You" sticker. To create some separation between the wavy design and the bottom portion of the card, I temporarily adhered hand-pleated ribbon across the transition and then stitched it into place.

I hope I've inspired you to pull out your supplies to make a card of encouragement for someone special on your heart this week. Nothing beats getting a good old-fashioned card in the mail when it's least expected. :)

Pebbles Home Grown Tulip Festival Spring Flowers Layout

Today I have a Pebbles Home Grown layout to share that is all about blooming flowers!

For nearly a decade we faithfully visited the Tulip Fest in Woodburn, Oregon but sadly we hadn't made the trek for the past few years (something we finally remedied this year). I wanted to create a special layout capturing the fun we had the last time we attended and I decided creating a beautiful floral grouping with the ephemera flowers from the collection was the perfect way to do this!

To bring my flowers to life and give them a more 3D look, I chose to layer several of the flower die-cuts in the smaller sizes using foam tape. I also inked my edges to make them pop and stand out when stacked together.

I was searching for a way to fit more photos on my page so I chose to string a set of mini Polaroids along the bottom of my layout. My pictures were originally full-sized 4x6 photos which I ruthlessly cropped down into (3) 2" x 2" squares. I like how cropping them put the focus back on my family's cute little faces and left me more room to include fun embellishments. I am in love with the fun triangle paper clips that come with the Photo Garland kit--I often include banner elements on my pages so it's nice to have a fresh way to string them and mix things up!

Doodlebug Sunkissed Summer Popsicle Layout & Bicycle Card

Hi there! I'm popping in today with some fun projects featuring the newest Sunkissed Collection by Doodlebug. Don't the darling images and colors in this line ooze happiness?! I can't help but smile when looking at it all! I decided to create three projects to share using this happy collection, but honestly I wish I had enough time to play and make another dozen!

Up first I have a layout with a focus on the new Skinny alphabet cardstock stickers and the Summer Treats Craft Kit. I was immediately taken with how well they matched some photos I took of my daughter and her cousins last summer. Even the grass paper was a perfect compliment!

I had fun using the Skinny Cardstock stickers in a rainbow of colors. Unfortunately as I was working I realized the yellow "P" was blending into my background. To remedy this I added a die-heart from the matching patterned paper and now it looks like something that was very intentional. I love when that happens! :)

I have a huge confession. I love my Doodlepop stickers so much that I have a tendency to hoard them and I have a really hard time using them on my actual projects with the fear that I may want to use it on something else down the road. I definitely struggled with that a bit on this page, but in the end I decided it was better to use it on my layout than on a card I might never see again. LOL! Tell me I'm not alone in my hoarding ways. ;)

My next project was a super quick card using a create-a-card base and a 4x4 square cut from the Surf's Up patterned paper. All I did was use a simple stitch around the square, a small strip of rainbow paper and some embellishing with a sentiment sticker and some sprinkles and jewels. I love the big impact this has with so very little effort!
