Doodlebug Hello Sunshine Spring Rainbow Layout

Hello there! I can't wait to share my layout with you today! I don't know about you, but I am ready for some sunshine and rainbows and Doodlebug's newest Hello Sunshine collection makes me feel so good! :)

To create my rainbow feature I cut a piece of printer paper to the size I was needing and then cut it in half, down the middle. I then proceeded to cover each side with 1/2 inch strips of the fun patterned papers from the collection. I started with my orange strip which I could line up on both sides by running it from corner to corner on my piece of printer paper. After that, all the other strips just fell into place. When I was done I trimmed off the excess and taped them back together on the back, stitching them with coordinating colors of thread.

I have a confession... I am addicted to Doodle Pops! I sort of hoard them, but I decided it was time to use them and I love how this darling vase looks paired with a darling bumblebee sticker from the icon sticker sheet. To give my little bee some dimension, I cut off his antennas, popped up his body with foam tape and then slid the antennas back under his body, adding some fun sprinkles as an accent.

I am also loving the versatility of the new paper frills--I know I am going to get so much use from them and with their new style, I can see myself mixing and matching them with other Doodlebug collections as well!

To finish off my layout I added 3 little flower sprinkles topped with more sprinkles for their centers. Aren't they fun?

Pebbles Inc. We Go Together Childrens Valentine's Day Treats

Hello! I'm hoping this post isn't coming too late... For those of you who thrive at the last minute, this project is for you. ;) Today I am sharing a quick idea for Valentine's Day treats, perfect for your child to exchange with fellow classmates using Pebbles adorable "We Go Together" collection.

As soon as I saw these darling little valentines that come 12 to a sheet, I knew I wanted to create a fun little project with them for my daughter. These little treat sleeves were just the ticket. I love how you can get 3 treat bags from a single sheet of 12x12 paper and how they're a snap to put together assembly line style. I made mine while indulging in an episode of "The Bachelor". :)

Lori Whitlock Blog Hop: Sending Love Pop-up Mailbox Card

Hello and welcome to Lori Whitlock's February blog hop! You should be arriving here from Corri's blog or if you're just joining us you can start from the beginning at Lori's blog. :)

As I was looking through all of Lori's beautiful shapes trying to decide what to make, her adorable Fence Mailbox Pop-up Card jumped out at me (no pun intended). I thought it would be so much fun to create it with a Valentine's Day twist!

Since the front of the card doesn't come with a design, I decided to combine several of Lori's cutting files to decorate it. I borrowed the scalloped frame from her Scalloped Easel Card and used one of my original favorites of hers from the Silhouette store that I had never found the time to play with.

To reinforce my Valentine's Day theme, I cut the mailbox from red and added a little matching red bird to the tree (removing his legs). I somewhat awkwardly cut a slit in my mailbox to slip in a little love letter cut from a piece of Doodlebug Lovebugs Paper.

I finished off my card with a sentiment from one of my new favorite stamp sets by Simon Says Stamp called Sending Happy Thoughts. I cut an extra heart from the heart flowers set and added a touch of Glossy Accents to create my own epoxy dot of sorts. :)

I thought I would also share a digital layout I created for Lori awhile back which I never got around to sharing here on my blog. This is yet another layout I created for my annual 8x8 Shutterfly album using their Custom Path Feature. It was inspired by a sketch by two of my favorite Sketch designers, Allison Davis & Debbie Sanders at Scrapbook Generations.

I love this digital collection by Lori! With this one collection you could almost create a whole year's worth of pages. It's especially perfect for those of you who love to make personalized calendars with a cohesive look since it covers almost all the seasons and holidays.
