Lori Whitlock Hop: Echo Park The Story of Christmas Layout

Hello and welcome to Lori Whitlock's November blog hop!  You should be arriving here from Corri's blog or if you're just joining us you can start from the beginning at Lori's blog.  :)

Today I have a layout using The Story of Christmas collection which Lori designed for Echo Park.  I just love the rustic charm this collection has with the wood prints sprinkled in!

We have a family tradition of buying a new ornament for each child and ourselves each year with the idea that when the kids move out they will have a number of ornaments to take with them that are full of memories for their own trees someday.  I thought Lori's Pine Bough with ornament cutting file was the perfect embellishment to match the look of my photos!

To match my Circle theme.  I borrowed the wreath image from Lori's A2 Swinging card fileThen I had fun embellishing it with a real ribbon bow and some pearls for holly berries.

I adore Lori's Deck The Halls phrase, but it wasn't quite the right shape for my page so I used the "the" from it, pairing it with my own custom "deck the halls" phrase using Lori's Abby font.

I hope I've inspired you to document a special Christmas tradition or memory.  Just to recap, today I used the following cut files available in Lori's shop:

This week you can get 30% off all her and Kolette Hall's amazing cutting files and fonts using the code "DECEMBER" through December 13, 2015.  :)

  4. Wow this layout turned out gorgeous! I really love all the ornaments! I think the idea behind why you do the shopping of ornaments is very beautiful... and one day when the girls are on their own, those ornaments will hold many, many holiday memories as they go to put them on their tree....such a beautiful tradition. I like the round circle theme and love the boughs of holly!

  5. We did the same thing with our children when they were growing up. They really enjoyed taking their box of treasures to decorate their own trees. Amazing layout you created for your ornaments.
