Hello and welcome to Lori Whitlock's October blog hop! You should be arriving here from Corri's blog or if you're just joining us you can start from the beginning at Lori's blog. :)
Today I have a layout to share using Lori's newest collection for Echo Park called The Story of Fall. I just love the rich colors in this collection! Once again I couldn't resist pairing several of Lori's cutting file shapes together with some of the adorable dies from the collection.
I started off my page by cutting 6 cards from Lori's 3x4 Life Cards set. Lori's fun fall title and her cute pumpkin cutting files look awesome paired with the darling fox and leaf dies by Echo Park. I love how that little pumpkin perfectly mimics the little pumpkin in my photo.
For another grouping along the top of my page I used the banners from Lori's No 10 Banner Card (ungrouping them to remove the holes along the top) to layer with the Echo Park acorn and Leaf dies.
To round out my page I used one of Lori's original shapes in the Silhouette store called the Doily Pennant Banner. It's an oldie, but remains one of my favorites. To make the banners stand out on the brown floral print, I decided to also punch out some half circles from solid brown to help them pop and not get lost in the background. It was an easy fix, but I think it made a huge difference. ;)
