Lori Whitlock's October Blog Hop with Halloween Layout

Welcome to Lori Whitlock's October blog hop!  You should be arriving here from Corri's blog or if you're just joining us you can start from the beginning at Lori's blog.  :)

Today's project uses some photos that are very near and dear to my heart.  My sweet neighbor passed away from ovarian cancer this past August and she loved Halloween so I wanted to create a layout that was a tribute to her and her love for the holiday.  I think she looks so beautiful in these photos!

You can read her story HERE and while you're at it, make sure to read up on the often missed signs of ovarian cancer HERE.  She lived every day to the fullest and I am so honored to have had her in my life, however short it may have been.

These little layered embellishments that I created with a few of Lori's newest cutting files are so much fun to work with.  I decided to offset the moon layer a bit to give my fence a moonlit glow and make it pop more against the black background.

To create my layout I used the following cut files available in Lori's shop:

This week you can get 30% off all her and Kolette Hall's amazing cutting files and fonts using the code "SPOOKY" through October 19, 2014.  :)

She is also offering 30% off all her darling digital kits over at Snap.Click.Supply. using the code "LWOCT14HOP", but you have to hurry.  The code is good for today only.  ;)

She also is giving everyone a free cutting file.  Head over to her blog to check it out.  :)

Make sure to check out all the inspiring projects at my fellow teammates blogs.  Your next stop in the hop is Traci's Blog.
