Random Rainbow Cards Using a Variety of Mediums

Happy Friday!!!  I hope this beautiful day finds you in good health and high spirits!  I am excited because both kids had activities all day with friends for the first time this summer and I can craft to my heart's content without interruptions or feelings of guilt.  ;)

I feel like I've been a wee bit absent from my blog this summer.  I've been working on a big project behind the scenes that I can't wait to share, but that news will have to wait for another day.  ;)

Today I thought I would gather up several random past cards I created that I don't think I ever got around to sharing (I'm embarrassed to admit how long ago I made some of these, but that's just how desperate I am).  They all just happen to have a rainbow theme!  I love rainbows... Don't you?  Perhaps it's because I grew up in the 80's, but I think it has more to do with my love for bright colors.  The more the merrier, right?

My first card uses Papertrey Ink's Wonderful Words Hello Stamp set.  I made this for a challenge to use up scraps of ribbon and I thought a bunch of tabs as a border would be fun.  This a great way to use up little pieces that are too small to make a good bow.  It reminds me of one of those baby toys.  ;)

My second card uses a technique I learned in grade school where you color an image with crayons and then go over it a second time with the same color in watercolors.  Aside from the stamps & hillside border dies everything else was using just good ol' Crayola products.  I think it's fun to create with basic supplies every once in awhile to feel like a kid again and remind ourselves that we don't always need expensive supplies to make something beautiful.

My last card is absolutely ancient, but it featured a rainbow so it fit my theme of the day.  ;)  I created this using Papertrey Ink's chevron stripes border die along with some basics by Pebbles Inc.

I hope if your day wasn't already feeling sunny that I've managed to spread a little sunshine your way.  Thank you to all those leaving me nice comments.  Your sweet feedback always makes me feel so good!  :)
