Technique Tuesday November Memory Keepers Studio Layout

Happy Friday!  I hope you're staying warm in your little corner of the world.  It is a slippery, icy mess here in my neighborhood.  Crossing my fingers I can make it out of my steep driveway today because I'm feeling a little stir crazy.  ;)

I thought I would share a layout I made using this month's stamps and dies from Technique Tuesday's Memory Keeper Studio and Fresh Cut Studio along with some of my favorite Simple Stories DIY papers.

To cut my tag and arrows I used This Tag die (so in love) and stamped it with alternating colors of ink using the coordinating This Is stamp set.  I achieved this using a little trick I learned from Betsy Veldman where I put scotch tape directly on my stamp over my letters I didn't wanted inked up, inked up my stamp and then pealed off the tape before stamping my tag.

And to stamp the date on my little tab I used a new favorite set of mine called Many Months.  I love how versatile this one is--I know it's one I will be turning to over and over again.  :)

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful and cozy weekend.  :)

  1. Lovely layout my friend. She sure is a beauty! I love those fun and colorful papers and inks. Nice tip to use some tape over the stamps. I need to remember this! It has not started to snow or ice here yet but we have been getting those cold temps in the 20's and 30's. I'm sure we will get that wintery weather very soon with these temperatures. I hope you are having a great weekend my friend.
