Lori Whitlock Hop: Echo Park Petticoats & Pinstripes Layout

Hello there!  The Lori Whitlock team is back with our monthly blog hop.  You should be arriving here from Corri's blog or if you are just joining in, you can start from the beginning at Lori's blog.  :)

For my project today I pulled out Lori's newest collection for Echo Park called Petticoats & Pinstripes.  It's a great collection for the men and boys in your life, but I love that I was able to stretch it and use it on a fun layout about my daughter as well.

I thought it would be fun to focus on Lori's fun filmstrip border which is part of her Office Oriented Borders set. I welded a couple together and cut another by itself since having them at an angle required me to have a strip that was longer than 12" long.  They became the perfect size to fit my 2x3 inch photos which I printed out all on one 4x6 print using photo editing software.

For my title I paired some alphabet stickers from the collection with a title I die-cut from Kolette Hall's Selfie And Today Script Words set.

The set doesn't have an "s" at the end of the word selfie, but I was able to add it by taking an "es" from the end of another word in the set, using the knife tool to separate them and then welding them onto my word instead.   (as a little hint, I found it easier to make the transition between letters by removing the "e" from selfie as well rather than just adding the "s" by itself).

    1. Thanks Taunya! It's funny that you mention that because she was really upset that I snuck these photos off my husband's phone and posted them where her friends can see them. I love them because she is being herself and I love that. :)
