Doodlebug Anchors Away Surf, Sand & Sea 2-page Layout

Hello there! I'm really excited to be sharing my project using the new Anchors Aweigh collection on the Doodlebug Blog today.  As soon as I saw the reveal on this fun new collection I new it would be the perfect match for some photos of our family during a recent Hawaiian vacation!

Since my photos wouldn't all fit on a single page and still leave room for all the fun embellishing, I made my first 2-page layout in what must be a couple years.  I thought cutting my photos in circles to mimic the feel of the bubbles would be really fun!

Circles cut from patterned paper were also the perfect way to ground so many of the darling stickers and embellishments from this happy collection!

Can I just say how smitten I am with the Bubble Sprinkles?!  In fact I think I need to buy them in bulk as I almost went through an entire package between two double layouts I created--Love how they match so many things and work for both the masculine and feminine versions of these collections!

To create continuity between my two pages, I carried the anchor border with thin pinstripe across both the pages and broke up my title to span both pages.  I love how the large chipper alphabet letters work well to fill up larger spaces like the ones I had to work with.

I hope I've inspired you to pick up some of these super fun papers and embellishments for yourself.  I think they would also be darling for baby boy layouts!  :)
