Doodlebug Daily Doodles Seasons Calendar themed Layout

Hi there!  I'm am on the Doodlebug blog today sharing a layout using the new Daily Doodles collection.  I thought it would be really fun to create a grid style layout reviewing our year using the squares of the calendar paper.  This type of layout would make an awesome title page for your album or even created with one page for each month of a year.

For my layout I was inspired by a fun digital layout (seen here).  I was immediately drawn to the rainbow design and how well it would translate with the Doodlebug colors.  For my photos I printed 6 images to a 4x6 print and cropped them to just under 1.75" square.  I chose to use a mix of patterned papers from Doodlebug's Petite Prints and Kraft In Color collections.  I then set to work going through all my icon stickers finding images that would match the colors and holidays in my photos.

For the border along the bottom of my page, I pieced together the flower border using paper frill stickers in seven coordinating colors and topped them with the matching jewels.  I love how it ties everything together.

One parting tip that I think makes this rainbow design extra fun is coordinating your photos to match the paper in that row.  I tried to find 3 photos for each color of the rainbow.  That proved to be difficult for a few of the colors, but I made sure to have a couple close-ups that could fill the gaps.  I hope I've inspired to give this fun design a try.

While you could look at this layout costing a small fortune with all the supplies I used, I actually think this is the perfect page for using leftover scraps from previous projects.  ;)   However on the off chance you see a product that catches your eye, I have shared shopping links below  (affiliate links included).
