My Creative Scrapbook Guest Designer Layouts

Hello there!  I have lots to share today!  I was honored to be asked to be a guest designer this month for My Creative Scrapbook!   They are a month-to-month kit club with 4 unique beautiful kits every single month.  I was excited to play with this month's "Creative Kit" featuring Echo Park's Anything Goes collection.

For my first layout I really wanted to show off the fun "1,2,3" journaling cards by Studio Calico.  I chose to cut out and isolate the pink, navy and red hexagons from the patterned paper and to recreate the ice cream embellishments using a basic circle punch and the banner stickers for cones.

Up next I have a layout focusing on the red prints from the collection for a bright and bold Disney layout.

I used several of the Kaisercraft Script Word clear stickers to form my visual triangle as well as several of the icon and letter stickers from the Echo Park Anything Goes sticker sheet.  I divided up my grid using some of the happy rick-rack that was also part of the kit.

My last layout has a completely different look, pulling from the softer tones in the collection.  I love how the papers were able to mimic the prints in my shirt and the soft pink blossoms behind us.  This layout was completely inspired by the 4x6 journaling card--As soon as I saw it I knew how perfectly it would match these photos.

I will be sharing a tutorial over on the My Creative Scrapbook blog soon on how I created some of the fun elements in this layout including my scalloped washi tape border, the washi tape heart insert and how I created my flower with nothing more than a circle punch (and of course my sewing machine).  ;)

With the exception of a few pieces of cardstock and a couple basic punches, everything I used to make these layouts was provided in the My Creative Scrapbook kit. I even had enough supplies (plus leftovers) to create 5 cards which I will be sharing here on Monday.  Hope you have a wonderful weekend!  :)
