Day 23- A Jillibean Winter Tortellini & Spinach Soup Card & Gift Tag

Hi there!  I have a quick card & matching gift tag idea that would be perfect for a last minute gift for neighbors with a goody plate.  I don't know about you, but I never grow tired of darling little houses and I think Jillibean's Winter Tortellini & Spinach Soup collection from last year is adorable!

For my card I cut the patterned paper into strips and then turned them on an angle for added interest.  To balance out the sentiment strip, I filled the white space with a rick-rack border by Papertrey Ink.

For my tag, I diecut a heart from kraft cardstock, inked edges and then outlined it with a white gel pen.  I cut my houses from patterned paper (but you could easily substitute with diecuts or stamps) and then adhered them along with a diecut heart topped with glossy accents.

After stamping my sentiment, I finished it with a hole punch to the corner, threaded with ribbon and a bakers twine bow.  I thought this tag would even make a cute ornament afterwards.  I might have to make a few more of these... They would go even faster making several at once.  ;)

  1. Mendi- Do you send the cards you make to family and friends or do you hold on to them?

    1. I mail the cards out. In past years I've picked one design to mass produce, but I made many of these cards for specific magazine submissions earlier in the year so now I am mailing out one of a kind Christmas cards. :)
